I have had some Instax Monochrome loaded into #theHandle for a while. As the sun was out on Thursday, I took it for a trip to Oiã.

This time I wanted to see if using a red filter would enhance the contrast of the Instax Monochrome. Because the last time I used Monochrome the images were a little overexposed this time I left the exposure compensation on darkest and held the red filter over the lens. The results were ... mixed.

The town hall in Oiã taken with #theHandle on Instax Monochrome with a red filter. The image was hopelessly underexposed and I should have dialled down the exposure compensation to 'normal' with the red filter. I managed to drag some detail out of the image by playing with curves in Snapseed. 

However, the closer view of the town hall in Oiã taken with #theHandle was actually exposed quite well, even with the red filter.
