A little bit of homework for the evening, 13 April 2023

After a few days preparation the Frankencamera is nearly ready for its unveiling. However, there are a few things that we need to be aware of before making any images.

The Frankencamera will be using Instax Wide film, which has an ISO rating of 800. This would be fine in a modern instant camera with its variable aperture and shutter speed, but the Frankencamera is broken and has a single shutter speed of about 1/50s and a minimum aperture of f25. 

So we will have to meter the subject and then use neutral density filters to compensate for the slow shutter speed. My initial tests suggest either an ND2 (1 stop) or ND4 (2 stop) should give the correct exposure. I just hope the Instax Wide film has enough latitude if I get it wrong.
