Urban Exploration at the Kartódromo de Oiã, 01 May 2023

Several years ago, in a dispute with the local council, the Kartódromo de Oiã was forced to close. This was a shame, as it was a great venue for the local community.

I used to go there quite a lot, covering training sessions, race days and drift nights. After it closed the site was abandoned and since then it has been left to decay.

Last weekend I thought it would be a good idea to go to the Kartódromo for some urban exploration (urbex) with the Gameboy, you can see the blog posting 'here' (https://gameboygalleries.wordpress.com/2023/04/30/gameboy-urbex-at-the-kartodromo-de-oia-30-april-2023/), and as I had the Hoya Infrared filter to hand it seemed like a good idea to take a couple of smartphone infrared photographs.
