#CellpicSunday: Out in the woods with an infrared filter, 19 November 2022

Another occasional entry for Cellpic Sunday. For the first time in a long time the sun came out and we had a clear blue dry, so I loaded up the flipped lens Agfa Clack with a roll of Fomapan Retro 100 ISO film and headed out.

I have been toying with the idea of flipped lens trichromes for a while and this was the perfect day. I also wanted to see how the flipped lens Clack handled long exposure trichromes, where I took a photo with the red filter, waited 10 minutes then took a photo with the green filter, then waited for a further 10 minutes and took a photo with the blue filter.

So I set up the camera, took the first image, and set the timer on my smartphone to 10 minutes. Now what? I could wait for 10 minutes but a watched clock never moves, so I had to do something to keep me occupied.

Then I remembered that my little Smartphone has a half decent infrared response, apart from a nasty hot spot in the middle of the frame — presumably an artifact from the design of the camera. So I took put the Hoya 720nm Infrared filter from it's little wallet and for twenty minutes between trichrome images wandered around getting some nice images for #CellpicSunday.
