Walking the dogs: Street Photography and ICM, 25 March 2024

I was in Aveiro the other day picking up my negatives from the Voigtländer Brillant and Smena 8M (which turned out to be fabulous, as it happens). I took the Canon Powershot A720 with me, which is my favourite digicam for intentional camera movement, and on the way back to the station caught up with this chap walking his dogs.

Normally the camera would be switched to black and white mode for my ICM, but I had a brain meltdown and couldn't remember how to do it. As it turned out, though, I quite liked the colour images. The shutter speed was set at 1/15s, to get some suitable camera movement, and the aperture to f8 (the smallest aperture on the A720). When taking an image I lined up the shot on the LCD then just as I was taking the image I flicked my wrist slightly.
