Lens-Artists Challenge #334: Cats and Dogs

This week, Tina of Travels and Trifles is hosting the Challenge and her theme for the week is, 'a subject near and dear to many of our hearts,' Cats and Dogs (https://wp.me/p2uCEm-7Ax). I've always been more of a dog person myself, though the first family pet was our beloved black cat, Sooty, but the last animals we cared for were in the eighties and nowadays there are no animal extensions to the family.

Here in Portugal, a lot of the animals — cats and dogs — that we might encounter on the street are quite skittish, and avoid human interaction wherever possible. Occasionally, though, I find a cat that is quite happy to sit and pose for a photo.

Fortunately, cats and dogs are a subject that many street artists are quite keen on, so these examples of street art come from Aveiro and the Lisbon area. I hope that you will enjoy them.

Just as I was finishing up this post, I took a walk around the neighbourhood to test out a new (to me) camera, the Agfa Silette Rapid F, from around 1964. As I was walking the back roads of a nearby village, Águas Boas, I came across this lovely guy sunning itself in the late afternoon sun. Perfect timing, I thought
